JAKARTA - A report announced that the city with the fastest internet access in Indonesia is not the capital city of Jakarta. It turns out that the city that owns the fastest internet service is Tangerang.

This is based on a report from Speedtest, an institution that examines internet connection speed levels from various countries of the world. Tangerang is known to be a city that has the fastest internet access in Indonesia.

Makassar is in the second position. Meanwhile, Jakarta must occupy the third position behind Tangerang and Makassar.

Tangerang has an average download speed of 18.97 Mbps. This is coupled with an upload speed of up to 12.28 Mbps.

Meanwhile, in Jakarta, the download speed reaches 17.91 Mbps and the average upload speed is 10.81 Mbps.

Fastest Internet Provider in Indonesia

Speedtest also reports the fastest provider in Indonesia. Telkomsel is at the top as a provider with high-speed internet access, touching the number 22.22. Under Telkomsel is IM3 Ooredoo, followed by XL, Smartfren, and 3.

Meanwhile, for 4G service providers, it is occupied by IM3 Ooredoo which provides 4G services at 95.5 percent. Telkomsel can only provide 4G networks of 92.4 percent. In this 4G availability, Telkomsel is in the fourth position.
