Kaltara Police Chief Reviews The Logistics Of The Nunukan KPU Election, Ensures The Security Of Elections At The Border
NUNUKAN - North Kalimantan (Kaltara) Police Chief Inspector General Daniel Adityajaya checked the warehouse of the Nunukan Regency KPU on Ujang Dewa Sedadap Street, Nunukan Selatan Village.
"This check is to ensure the security and readiness of logistics for the upcoming 2024 General Election. Including the assistance of the security system in the election logistics warehouse," said Daniel accompanied by the Nunukan Police Chief AKBP Taufik Nurmandia, Wednesday, November 15.
At the warehouse location, Daniel continued, several rooms were also prepared, such as the Isolation, Medical, and Official Rooms, to ensure the safety of election logistics.
"To anticipate vulnerability, around the Logistics warehouse, monitoring cameras or CCTV were also installed, including the preparation of fire extinguishers (APAR). Earlier, I also conveyed to the warehouse guard to immediately close the equipment that had been checked so that there would be no reduction in the amount so that the existing goods were in accordance with what was received and can be accounted for," he explained.
Daniel emphasized that guarding the logistics warehouse for the 2024 election is part of the task of securing the National Police.
"The Kaltara Police are also ready to provide security in other locations in need, such as the Bawaslu office and the KPU office," he said.
In addition to checking logistics at the Nunukan KPU warehouse, the two-star general visited the Nunukan Police Headquarters to check the readiness of the Great Brata operation in 2023-2024.
The Kaltara Police Chief accompanied by PJU and the Nunukan Police Chief checked the readiness of personnel, vehicles and equipment to be used in carrying out the election later.
"Personnel from the Nunukan Police must be solid and maintain loyalty to what is mandated by the leadership of the Police, including maintaining the togetherness of the TNI-POLRI in their duties, especially ahead of this election," said Daniel.
Police personnel on duty are asked to establish good communication with the community.
"So that it is easier for us to solve problems in the community. I also remind Nunukan Police personnel to use social media wisely and avoid photos with hand movements ahead of the election," he concluded.
