Kia EV9 Officially Lands In Australia, The Cheapest Variant Touches IDR 969 Million
JAKARTA - Kia EV9 2024 is officially present in Australia and is available in three variants, namely Air, Earth, and GT-Line.
Reporting from Carscoops, Tuesday, November 14, Kia EV9 is the most expensive vehicle ever sold in Australia by a South Korean car manufacturer.
The following is a short review for any Kia EV9 variant that has launched on the Australian market:
This variant is the most affordable variant of Kia EV9, with a price of around US$61,699 or around Rp969 million. This variant comes in the RWD Single Motor configuration and is equipped with a 76.1 kWh battery that drives an electric motor of 160 kW or 215 hp, with a torque of 350 Nm. This electric car is capable of accelerating 0-100 km/hour within 8.2 seconds, with a range of about 443 km (WLTP).
Although it is the most affordable model, EV9 Air is equipped with luxurious features such as a pair of 12.3-inch curved screens, Advanced Driver Assistance including Highway Driving Assist 2, Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Following Assist 2, Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist, Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go, and Rear View Monitor. This variant is also equipped with 19-inch wheels.
For those looking for higher performance, Kia EV9 Earth offers a larger 99.8 kWh battery pack and two combined electric motors, generating a power of 380 hp and 700 Nm torque. The larger battery pack increases EV9 Earth's reach to 512 km with a single charge. The Earth variant is also equipped with features such as Surround View Monitor, Blind-Spot View Monitor, Parking Collision Avoidance Assist Reverse, and an electric steering wheel logo. The price for the Australian market is around 67,741 US dollars or around Rp1 billion.

As the highest variant, Kia EV9 GT-Line has the same powertrain AWD Dual Motor as Earth, but uses wheels measuring 21 inches.
