13 Years On The Indie Line, Maliq & D Essentials Join Warner Music Indonesia Again With A Big Vision
JAKARTA - Maliq & D Essentials rejoined the major music label, Warner Music Indonesia, after 13 years of being on the path indie.
Angga Puradiredja (vocals) said that the return of Maliq & D Essentials to Warner Music Indonesia reminded them in their early days to enter the Indonesian music industry.
"After 2010 we are on the indie route, now we feel like we are going back to 2005 again," Angga said at a press conference in Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, Monday, November 13.
In 2005, Maliq & D Essentials released its first album titled 1s. Together with Warner Music Indonesia, they released four albums within five years.
Meanwhile, Triari Senawirawan as Managing Director of Warner Music Indonesia also welcomed the return of Maliq & D Essentials. He saw Angga cs have songs close to music listeners.
"We really feel like welcoming home. For us, Maliq's songs are eternal, so we also had time to release their songs that were sung by our young artists," said Triari Senawirawan.
Furthermore, Triari said that the Maliq & D Essentials with its songs had a far-forward vision. He is enthusiastic about the cooperation that will be carried out in the future.
In my opinion, the 'Maliq' is a visionary band. And we believe in Maliq's vision, and with the connection we have, we can bring Maliq's music to be heard abroad," concluded Triari Senawirawan.
As a new step, Maliq & D Essentials will release a new single titled "Oah, under its new music label."
