Penikam Team Patrol 'Sweeping' The Wild Racing In Makassar
MAKASSAR - The wild racing action is certainly troubling other road users. In Makassar City, many motorists often perform "standing" motorbikes.
For the sake of security and order in Makassar City, the police carry out routine patrols. The Responder Team of Public Security and Order Threat (Penikam) of Makassar Police conducted a raid on A.P. Pettarani Street, Makassar.
The "Penikam" Team monitored and raided locations that were often used as illegal racing arenas, Saturday, February 13. Those caught acting on the streets were shrouded into the police station.
The Penikam Team Commander of the Makassar Police, First Police Inspector Arif Muda Busman, said that the dozens of perpetrators who were caught were immediately given guidance and then sanctioned for vehicle tickets by the Makassar Police Traffic Unit.
"We submit it to the Traffic Police for follow up," said Penikam Team Commander of the Makassar Police, First Police Inspector Arif Muda Busman.
The Penikam Team searched Sultan Alauddin Street. There were two teenagers and one motorcycle that were secured by the police.
From this location, the Penikam Team of Makassar Police continued their journey to A.P. Pettarani Street until they finally secured a number of perpetrators along with their motorbikes.
The police continued to search A.P. Street until they finally returned to secure a number of teenagers and two women related to illegal racing. Apart from securing the perpetrator the police also secured the perpetrator's motorbike.
"The joint team from the Makassar Police conducted monitoring of areas related to illegal racing, especially on Pettarani Street. The Penikam Team together with the Motor Vehicle Patrol on Pettarani Street had secured 11 vehicles, and these vehicles were with the illegal racing actors" said First Police Inspector Arif Muda.
