Spokesperson Calls IKN Development Efforts To Bring RI To Become A Developed Country
JAKARTA - The Nusantara Capital Authority (OIKN) revealed that the development of the State Capital or IKN Nusantara is a strategic step to make Indonesia a developed country.
"The transfer to IKN Nusantara is a prerequisite for Indonesia to enter from a developing country to a developed country. This is a step to become a developed country," said OIKN spokesman Troy Pantouw, quoted by ANTARA, Friday, November 10.
According to Troy, talking about IKN Nusantara, the relocation of the nation's capital has been planned since the era of the First President of the Republic of Indonesia Soekarno and then in the era of the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo was realized.
The transfer of the state capital to IKN Nusantara is part of Indonesia Gold's vision 2045. The vision of Indonesia Gold 2045 seeks to increase national economic growth which is inclusive or involves all components of society.
Moving the state capital to central Indonesia can be a catalyst for a fairer economic distribution, as well as increasing economic and social growth which is much better than it is today.
"This is where the development of the Nusantara IKN reflects Indonesia's determination to become more," said Troy.
On the same occasion, the Head of the IKN Infrastructure Development Task Force of the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Danis Hidayat Sumadilaga said the aim of IKN Nusantara was not only to build government offices or buildings, but also to create new economic growth centers.
This is because later in IKN there will be industries related to new and renewable energy (EBT), future agriculture and priority economic sectors.
"Because the most important thing is that we not only move the nation's capital, but also create new centers of economic growth that have been focused on the islands of Java and Sumatra," said Danis.
