Not Satisfied After Burning Camp And Company Cars In Ilaga Papua District, The Armed Criminal Group Shoots The Police And The National Army Forces During Crime Scene Investigation
JAKARTA - An armed criminal group (KKB) is suspected of setting fire to a camp and vehicles belonging to PT Unggul in Ilambet Village, Ilaga District, Puncak Regency, Papua.
Police Chief Dicky Saragih when confirmed, said the initial information was known by his party during the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda) meeting in Ilaga, Saturday, February 13 yesterday.
"After the meeting, the National Army-Police security apparatus went straight to the scene of the crime (TKP), where the vehicle allegedly burned by the Armed Criminal Group", he said as quoted by Antara, Sunday, February 14.
Dicky said that the burning of heavy equipment was allegedly carried out by the Armed Criminal Group led by Lekagak Telenggen. There were no fatalities in the incident because no employees around the camp.
After receiving the news, the authorities went straight to the scene of the crime (TKP) at around 13.00 local time. When they were about to return, the group received shots from the direction of Jalan Kampung Mudidok, which is located opposite the PT Unggul camp and in Dijuka.
"There was a shootout with the Armed Criminal Group", said Dicky.
When he was asked when the burning of the camp and the vehicles belonging to PT Unggul to work on the bridge construction occurred, Saragih predicted the incident would have happened on Thursday, February 11, or the day after the members went to the crime scene.
