Central Java Police Deploy Tactical Units Starting From K-9 To Anti-Drone Satbrimob For U-17 World Cup Security In Surakarta

Surakarta Manahan Stadium will be the main magnet for the U-17 World Cup in Indonesia. A total of 14 matches will be held at the Solo Manahan Stadium from the group stage on November 10 to the final on December 2.

In order to ensure the security of the U-17 World Cup, the National Police held a Central Operation entitled Safe Operations for the 2023 Bacuya

The pre-operational training for security at the Central Java level was held at the Haji Donohudan Dormitory, Boyolali and was attended by hundreds of participants, Tuesday, November 7.

In Operation Safe Bacuya 2023, the Central Java Police said that their party focused on securing all participants, including a series of matches held at the Manahan Surakarta stadium.

In addition, security also targets the entire series of activities starting to secure the routes and routes that are traversed, the venues for matches, namely the Solo Manahan Stadium, 6 training stadiums, and 2 lodging places.

At the location of the match, security was carried out using 3 layers of the security zone. A total of 4,515 personnel were alerted by the Central Java Police, consisting of joint personnel from the National Police and the TNI.

"In detail, the personnel on standby consisted of 963 security personnel from the Central Java Police Headquarters Satker, 3,141 personnel from the ranks of the police and 500 personnel from the TNI," explained the Head of the Public Relations Task Force for the 2023 Bacuya Safe Operations of the Central Java Police, Kombes Satake Bayu Setianto, in a written statement received, Tuesday, November 7.

It was stated that a number of tactical units were also deployed in security activities including the K-9 Unit from the Polsatwa, Jibom and Jihandak Teams from Gegana, PHH and Anti Drones from the Satbrimob, as well as the Cyber Team from the Gakkum Task Force.

"For the security of Zone I (in the stadium), the function and role of the Steward is controlled by FIFA. The involvement of Polri personnel is carried out in accordance with the excalation of threats and requests from Safety and Security Officers," he said.

Meanwhile, security in Zone II (around the stadium area) and Zone 3 (outside the stadium area) is the responsibility of the National Police which is supported by other related officers.

Control of security activities will be carried out through 2 Tactical Command Posts in the RTMC Room of the Surakarta Police and at Manahan Stadium. In addition, a Main Command Post was also prepared in the MCC Room of the Operations Bureau of the Central Java Police Headquarters.

In addition, the Central Java Police also alerted hundreds of CCTVs throughout the city of Surakarta and integrated at the RTMC Tactical Command Post at the Surakarta Police Headquarters.

"Meanwhile, within the Manahan Stadium itself, 87 CCTVs have been prepared to monitor the situation for 24 hours," he explained

"During the U-17 World Cup activities in Surakarta City and its surroundings, a series of traffic flow engineering will be carried out," he concluded.
