The NTT Prosecutor's Office Trace The Intellectual Actor Behind The Fake Information From 2 Suspects In The Labuan Bajo Land Case

JAKART - The East Nusa Tenggara High Court (Kejati NTT) is looking for the main actor behind the false statements made by 2 suspects in the case of transfer of government land assets in Labuan Bajo, West Manggarai Regency.

Two suspects detained, namely ZD, the son of one of the suspects in the case of transfer of land assets in Labuan Bajo who died some time ago and FH, an employee of the West Manggarai Regency Government.

"Investigators are still probing the statements of the 2 suspects to find out who was the actor behind the fabrication of false statements carried out by ZD and FH during the trial," said Head of Legal Information and Public Relations of the NTT High Court, Abdul Hakim, when contacted by Antara, Kupang, Friday, February 12.

The detention of 2 suspects was related to false information given during the pretrial hearing filed by the Regent of West Manggarai, Agustinus Ch Dulla.

Agustinus has now become a suspect in the case of transferring assets of the government of West Manggarai Regency covering 30 hectares in Labuan Bajo.

According to him, in their statements to investigators, the two witnesses admitted that the land belonged to the West Manggarai Regency government, but in court they claimed that the land belonged to the residents.

"Investigators are still looking for who actually fabricated the false statements at the court. If it is suspected that there is a role for a lawyer then of course it will be a suspect as well," he said.

"If there is a role for the regent, then of course he will also be named a suspect, because it has obstructed the investigation of this land case," he said.
