JAKARTA - Attorney General's Attorney General's Office for investigating information from AI, wife of the suspect Ilham W. Siregar, in the investigation into cases of alleged corruption in financial management and investment funds by PT. Indonesian Armed Forces Insurance (Asabri).

"There are four being questioned in the Asabri case today, one witness is the wife of one of the suspects and three other witnesses are company directors," said Head of the Attorney General's Legal Information Center Leonard Eben Ezer Simanjuntak at the Attorney General's Office, quoted by Antara, Thursday, February 11.

Apart from AI, there were three other witnesses who were questioned, namely REZ bin RZ as the President Director of PT. Maybank Asset Management, AAM as Director of PT. Asanusa Asset Management and EH as the President Director of PT. Insight Investment Management.

The examination of witnesses was carried out in order to find legal facts and gather evidence about the criminal act of corruption that occurred at Asabri.

Jampidsus Attorney General's Office has named eight suspects in the investigation of alleged corruption in the management of finance and investment funds by PT. Indonesian Armed Forces Insurance (Asabri).

The eight suspects were Director of PT Asabri for the period 2011 - March 2016 (Ret.) Major General Adam Rachmat Damiri, Director of PT Asabri for the period March 2016 - July 2020 (Ret.) Lt. Gen. Sonny Widjaja, Director of Finance of PT Asabri for the period of October 2008-June 2014 Bachtiar Effendi, Director of PT Asabri for the period 2013 - 2014 and 2015 - 2019 Hari Setiono, Head of Investment Division of PT Asabri July 2012 - January 2017 Ilham W. Siregar, and Managing Director of PT Prima Network Lukman Purnomosidi.

Then President Director of PT Hanson International Tbk Benny Tjokrosaputro and Commissioner of PT Trada Alam Minera Heru Hidayat. Both Benny and Heru are suspects in the corruption case at PT Asuransi Jiwasraya.

So far, investigating prosecutors have confiscated assets belonging to the suspect Heru Hidayat in the form of a Ferrari car, an LNG Aquarius ship and ship ownership documents. In addition, the suspect's assets, Benny Tjokrosaputro, were confiscated in the form of land in Lebak Regency, Banten.

This case caused losses to state finances amounting to IDR 23.73 trillion. The state losses in this case were far greater than in the Jiwasraya case.
