Culinary Tourism Area Lego-lego CPI Makassar Inaugurated
MAKASSAR - South Sulawesi Governor Nurdin Abdullah inaugurated a culinary tourism area at Center Point Of Indonesia (CPI). The culinary tourism area was built with a budget of IDR 25 billion with ironwood as the base material.
Nurdin Abdullah explained that the condition of white sand that turned black happened because the water circulation did not flow. Therefore, it was initiated by the South Sulawesi Provincial Government and Makassar City Government to build this culinary tourism area.
"I will not waste the beauty of Losari Beach, especially with this reclamation. Of course we take advantage of it, especially after we open this culinary center, it turns out that the public interest is so great, that we expand it again so that more access can be used," said Nurdin. Abdullah.
In addition, Nurdin Abdullah admitted that the 99 Dome Mosque is currently in the tender stage and is expected to be used before this year's Ramadan.
"The 99 mosque is in the tender process. So we will function first, basically this mosque must function first. So we hope this year it can function and we are hunting until Ramadan (Month) hopefully, but we will try," he hoped.
"We will use it first, such as the place of ablution, toilets, access to the inside that is leaking, we will repair it. We have prepared Rp. 22 billion, because this has not yet reached 99 domes, because there is still one dome that has not arrived," he explained.
Meanwhile, the Acting Mayor of Makassar, Prof. Rudy Djamaluddin, hopes that this culinary tour will bring new sights to the people of Makassar.
"Lego-lego is expected to be a new tourism destination in Makassar City. How do we present a new tourism spot in Makassar City? We know that South Sulawesi is the gateway for eastern Indonesia, as well as tourism," said Rudy.
