Not Yet Appointed As Mayor Of Solo Gibran Discouraged Advancing DKI Pilgub, FX Rudy Thinks Too Early

SOLO - The Mayor of Surakarta, Central Java, FX Hadi Rudyatmo, assesses that the discourse of Gibran Rakabuming Raka to advance in the DKI Pilgub is still too early.

"It's too early to talk. It hasn't been inaugurated (as the mayor of Surakarta), 'ben has been installed sik' (so that first), he said in Solo, quoted by Antara, Thursday, February 11.

But FX Rudy does not question the existence of this discourse.

"I would be happy if someone conveyed it like that. But as a party cadre who manages the PDIP of Solo City, if the province is the right of the DPP," he said.

He asked all parties to respect someone's political attitude.

"It is a person's right to determine his political stance, now his (Gibran) political stance is mayor. We cannot restrain someone's right to determine the next political stance," he said.

Even if Gibran does leave Solo to fight in the DKI Jakarta Pilkada, FX Rudy is not too worried because Gibran has a deputy mayor who can replace him.

FX Rudy gave an example of the condition when he was left by Joko Widodo (Jokowi) who moved to become the number one person in the DKI Jakarta government.
