Ship Burned Fiercely At Samarinda Shipyard, An Explosion Occurs

JAKARTA - The ship belonging to PT Barokah Galangan Perkasa, Samarinda, East Kalimantan, caught fire. Dense black smoke soared in the shipyard area.

Samarinda City Fire Service (Damkar) officer Romi said the ship caught fire at around 14.30 WITA, Thursday, February 11.

At first thick smoke emerged from the ship. Officers in the nearest area immediately visited.

"The fire has gotten bigger," said Romi, confirmed by VOI.

There are 3 units of Damkar deployed to the shipyard. Officers managed to extinguish the fire. It was confirmed that there were no casualties in this ship fire.

"The cause is not yet known," he continued.
