NTT Prosecutors Arrest 2 Suspects In The Labuan Bajo Land Case Who Give False Information

KUPANG - The East Nusa Tenggara High Court (Kejati NTT) arrested two suspects in the case of the sale and purchase of 30 hectares of land assets belonging to the West Manggarai Regency Government in Labuan Bajo.

Head of the Legal Information and Public Relations Section of the NTT High Court, Abdul Halim, said that the two suspects arrested had the initials ZD and HF.

According to Abdul Hakim, the two were arrested for giving false statements to investigators at the NTT Prosecutor's Office when they were examined as witnesses in the case of transfer of land assets in Labuan Bajo.

Abdul Hakim said that the testimony given by the two witnesses during the pretrial hearing by the suspect, Regent Agustinus Ch Dulla, was different from the information given when the two witnesses were questioned by the NTT High Court as witnesses.

"There was falsification of information by the two suspects," said Abdul Hakim.

The two suspects are witnesses who were questioned by the NTT High Prosecutor's Office in the case of the transfer of land assets covering 30 hectares in Labuan Bajo.

According to him, one of the two suspects arrested was an employee of the West Manggarai Regency Government who was arrested at a lawyer's house in Kupang City.

Meanwhile, one of the arrested suspects is the son of one of the suspects in the case of selling land assets in Labuan Bajo who has died.

"The two of them are still undergoing examination by the NTT Attorney's office," said Abdul Hakim.
