Drummer Often, Edy Khemod Voices His Support For Palestine

JAKARTA - The prolonged conflict between Palestine and Israel has attracted the attention of many people, including musicians.

Edy Khemod, drummer Seringai expressed his support for Palestine. He voiced independence or freedom from Palestine.

He assessed that what the Israelis were doing, especially for Palestinian civilians, was a form of genocide.

Through his Instagram account, Edy Khemod uploaded a watermelon image.

In his upload, Edy Khemod also included the song Seringai entitled Gaza.

Edy Khemod's upload received comments from several people, one of whom was Robi, Navicula's vocalist.

For information, the image of the watermelon symbolizes a national identity related to the Palestinian soil and resistance.

It has been used since 1967, there are similarities between the Palestinian flag and the watermelon image. Both have four colors, namely red, black, white and green.
