7 Hours With Leopards In The Toilet, Bollu Survived Without Any Injuries
JAKARTA - A man named Bollu now has an outstanding reputation among male residents of Bilinele Village, Dakshina Kannada, Karnata, India, after surviving seven hours of day and night, with a leopard in the toilet of a house.
It was Jayalakhshmi, the owner of the house who was at his brother's house on Tuesday night when the leopard entered the toilet of his house, which may have been because it was close to the Kombaru Forest Reserve.
Early Wednesday, family members saw a leopard tail through the toilet door. He immediately locked the door and called the forestry officers. The clerk who came immediately reviewed the location, and got a shocking reality from the bathroom window.
A leopard is curled up in one corner and in the other corner diagonally, is Bollu the dog. Each appears to have marked their territory in captivity.
“It is located close to Kombaru Forest. Leopards may have entered human habitation, chasing dogs at night. And when the dog takes refuge in the toilet, chances are that the leopard will follow, "said local forestry police Subrahmanya, reported Indiatimes.
Throughout the morning, forestry officials put a layer of netting over the asbestos sheets that serve as the roof of the toilets and get permission to sedate the animals. When the officers were about to open fire, the leopard pushed out through the roof of the toilet, penetrated the net and immediately fled away from the area into the forest.
"We realized it was a risky operation because te asbestos sheets were only placed over the bathroom and not secured to anything. For a leopard weighing 100kg, getting through it is not an impossible task," he explained.
"No injuries have befallen anyone in the house. The leopard is under five years old and weighs 80-100 kg," concluded the official.
Bollu also looked fine when the clerk and the owner of the house opened the bathroom door and found that Bollu was not injured at all.
Sharing a video I received from the spot. After the leopard and dog were spotted inside the toilet in the morning, curious passers-by joined forest department officials to figure out how to catch the leopard and release it to the forest. pic.twitter.com/9dLzlxTUOO
