Minister Nadiem Expects Vocational School Students In Papua To Think Entrepreneurship How To Make Products For Sale

JAKARTA - Minister of Education and Culture Nadiem Makarim hopes that Vocational High School (SMK) students in Papua think entrepreneurship in order to increase superior Human Resources.

"Every vocational school student must think entrepreneurship about how to make products for sale because in this way vocational students can improve the economy and superior human resources," said Nadim in the city of Sorong, as reported by Antara, Thursday, February 11.

He said that SMK must continue to develop entrepreneurial interest in students so that they can take advantage of the existing potential to produce products to sell.

Therefore, he said, the role of the principal is important to advance his school through learning innovation, thus creating creative entrepreneurs.

He explained that SMK and SMA have different learning methods. Especially for vocational students and teachers, they must work together to create an entrepreneurial atmosphere in the school in order to produce the best products for people's lives.

Because SMK must prepare personnel who are professional in their fields, in order to be able to compete globally.

Therefore, he said, in order to improve the quality of skilled and qualified students, it is necessary to collaborate with all parties in preparing a professional workforce in their field.

"Vocational high school students will be great thinking that entrepreneurship depends on the principal and teachers as educators as well as the ability of students to advance," he said.
