JAKARTA - The U-17 Indonesian national team will appear at the 2023 U-17 World Cup which will be held on November 10-2 December. On that agenda, the Milky Way squad is targeted to qualify for the round of 16.
Regarding the target, the coach of Bima Sakti did not feel burdened. He only asked his team to continue playing freely without having to think about the target requested because this moment is a rare opportunity.
They are also aware that this may even be a chance for a lifetime for them because after this they are at U-18. So they are aware that their responsibility is big. What is certain is that we will focus on every match," said Bima Sakti on Monday, October 30 after leading the training at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium, Jakarta.
Bima Sakti emphasized that he had prepared a team of coaches to analyze the strength of the opponent. At the 2023 U-17 World Cup, the U-17 national team will be in Group A with Ecuador, Panama and Morocco.
"The coaching team has been assigned tasks, how many coaches analyze the Ecuadorian team, then also Panama, and Morocco," he explained.
Bima added that the coaching team assigned to analyze this had prepared pieces of the opponent's video and would be discussed together again later as material for the team's preparation.
"Also there will be Coach Frank in the team, Coach Indra, we will also discuss from the video material against what we have to prepare against the three teams later," he explained.
Regarding the team's performance, Bima believes that the material for the current U-17 national team players can be a good foundation for the strength of the national team in the future.
"We are optimistic that that's why we prepare these brothers as well as mentally as possible, physically, technically," he said.
"They then we hope that later in U-20 they can become the backbone and even reach the senior national team," he said.
