SURABAYA - Governor of East Java Khofifah Indar Parawansa prohibits ASN from traveling or traveling outside the region.

This policy applies specifically to the Chinese New Year holidays from February 12 to 14. The prohibition is contained in Circular Letter (SE) Number: 800/973 / 204.3 / 2021, dated 10 February 2021

According to Khofifah, every long holiday there is a potential for an increase in cases of the spread of COVID-19. For this reason, this step is taken as an effort to prevent the transmission of COVID-19.

"All civil servants in the East Java Provincial Government are obliged to support the government's efforts to prevent and overcome COVID-19, including by supporting the implementation of this Circular," said Khofifah, at the Grahadi State Building, Surabaya, Thursday, February 11.

Khofifah explained, there are several points that need to be considered by ASN in a circular issued by the East Java Provincial Government. Among them, first, ASN and their families are prohibited from traveling outside the region and / or going home during the Chinese New Year 2572 Kongzili holiday period, which is from 11 to 14 February 2021.

Second, if ASN in a forced condition needs to travel outside the region during that period, then the concerned must first obtain written permission from the Head of the Regional Apparatus.

Third, the granting of permits as referred to in point two is given selectively, taking into account the criteria for the spread of COVID-19.

Fourth, ASN who are found to have violated the provisions of this Circular Letter will be subject to disciplinary action as stipulated in Government Regulation No. 53 of 2010 concerning Civil Servant Discipline and Government Regulation No. 49 of 2018 concerning Government Employee Management with Work Agreements.

"We need to remember together that the COVID-19 pandemic is not over yet. So, let's break the chain of COVID-19 spread together, one of which is to stay at home during this long holiday, and only leave the house for urgent needs," he said
