Jokowi Invites 3 Presidential Candidates To Eat At The Palace, Prabowo: If Not Invited, We Will Rarely Be Able To Gather

The three presidential candidates for the 2024 General Election are invited to lunch with President Joko Widodo at the Merdeka Palace today.

Prabowo Subianto admitted that the chat discussed by Jokowi, himself, Ganjar Pranowo, and Anies Baswedan was quite light. According to him, this lunch agenda is a rare moment.

"Earlier, we also expressed our gratitude for being invited. If we are not invited, we rarely get together. So, he hopes for a good atmosphere, and we also hope for a good atmosphere," Prabowo said at the Presidential Palace, Monday, October 30.

One of the things that are included in the discussion of Jokowi and the presidential candidates is the issue of neutrality during the 2024 election stage.

Anies admitted that he had aspirations from the people he met to order Jokowi. Anies asked Jokowi to maintain his neutrality as head of state in the implementation of the 2024 General Election.

"We often meet many people who love the president. Those who love this message to the president can maintain neutrality, and emphasize to all officers to maintain neutrality in the presidential election, elections," said Anies.

Continuing the chat, Ganjar explained that Jokowi was committed to supporting a good democratic system, namely by supporting the neutrality of the government to the apparatus.

"Hopefully what he said, God willing, will be carried out. Our task to protect together this election is peaceful, the apparatus is really implicit, everything can run fairly, and we can take care of each other," explained Ganjar.

Prabowo Subianto, Ganjar Pranowo, and Anies Baswedan compactly wore long-sleeved machete batik when receiving an invitation to eat with Jokowo. Batik Prabowo and Anies are dominantly brown, while Ganjar is red.

Batik machetes come from Java, especially the Special Region of Yogyakarta and Solo. The batik was made by batik craftsmen in the area and became popular in the 19th century.

Launching the Kemendikbudristek page, the motif of machete batik has a philosophical meaning of message never giving up. Meanwhile, continuity in the motive of machetes provides a philosophy of a struggle that never breaks.

Jokowi serves various foods to be eaten by prospective presidential candidates who will compete in the 2024 General Election. Among them are white rice, soto lamongan, chicken chicken, black pepper cow, roast duck, fried squid, salted egg fried shrimp, kaylan cah cow, ice laksamana went berserk and orange juice.
