Allegedly Neglected Search Permit, MAKI Reported Investigators To KPK Dewas

JAKARTA - The Indonesian Anti-Corruption Society (MAKI) has reported the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) investigators who handled cases of suspected social assistance bribery (bansos) for COVID-19 and suspected bribery of export permits for shrimp fry or lobster seeds to the Supervisory Board.

The reporting was carried out because the investigating team that handled the two cases that ensnared the two ministers in the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet, was suspected of neglecting the search permit. "We are complaining that investigators of the corruption case on the export of lobster fry from the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries with the suspect, Edhy Prabowo and friends, are suspected of neglecting the search permit that was granted by the KPK and this allegedly happened in the handling of a corruption case in the distribution of basic food assistance from the Ministry of Social Affairs with the suspect Juliadi Batubara and friends. friends, "said MAKI coordinator Boyamin Saiman in his statement to reporters, Wednesday, February 10.

The suspicion of laying out the search warrant was based on the monitoring he carried out from the mass media reports that minimal reported the search to find evidence in the two cases.

In fact, Boyamin believes that the KPK Supervisory Board has granted many search permits in the two cases.

"If we may suspect, we estimate that there are dozens of search permits in the two cases, but until now there have not been any search activities properly which have slowed progress in handling the a quo case," he said.

Furthermore, regarding this report, Boyamin asked the KPK Supervisory Board to immediately summon the investigating team in the case that ensnared Juliari and Edhy Prabowo. This is done to ensure that the search permit has been carried out.

"To ascertain whether the search permit has been carried out and has been completed properly, if it is proven that neglect has occurred, please be given a warning and / or sanction in accordance with the applicable provisions," he concluded.
