Toyota Signals The Emergence Of The Latest SUV, Is It The Crown Estate?
JAKARTA - This year, if Toyota is observed, there are many interesting surprises, as if this is a form of their efforts to catch up with competitors in the field of electrification.
Recently, Toyota provided instructions regarding the launch of an intermediate-sized SUV that will soon debut in the US market.
This was revealed from a teaser image uploaded by the company through its official website on Tuesday, October 24, featuring the rear of the vehicle with the letter 'C' emblem and the 'HEV AWD' marker, signaling that this car is a hybrid variant.
Although it is not explicitly explained that the letter 'C' refers to 'Corolla' or 'Crown', it is known that both have design similarities on the back. However, most likely the model displayed is 'Crown Estate', which was previously announced by the manufacturer earlier this year.
Crown Estate features a distinctive design of a conventional SUV. With a stronger design, the car offers a wide cargo space at the back, as well as a lightfront that has a unique thin motif. However, Toyota will probably make adjustments to suit consumer preferences in the US.
With the ensemble 'HEV AWD', it is certain that this car will be equipped with all-wheel drive hybrid technology. Currently, Crown is available in the US with a 2.5-liter four-cylindrical engine integrated with fourth-generation hybrid powertrain technology, generating a power of 236 horsepower. In addition, there is also a newer 2,4-liter Hybrid Max variant, with two electric motors working together to generate 340 dk of power.
Although specific details have yet to be disclosed, it is anticipated that this car will be introduced to the Los Angeles Auto Show on November 17 as an SUV with a sporty feel.
Previously, this brand had also released a teaser image that is thought to be Camry's newest generation, featuring a wider silhouette that promises a wider dimension.
The estimated presence of the latest Camry is further strengthened by reports in early 2023 indicating that this luxury sedan will make its debut in 2024.
