Vice President Asks The Public Not To Link The Constitutional Court's Decision To Government Performance

JAKARTA - Vice President Ma'ruf Amin emphasized that the Constitutional Court's decision regarding the nomination of the president and vice president is not related to the government's performance.

The vice president in his statement to reporters on the sidelines of a working visit in East Kalimantan emphasized that the Constitutional Court's decision and the government's performance were two different things.

"That (the Constitutional Court's decision) is another thing. The performance (of the government) is not related to that, right. The performance of one problem, (the Constitutional Court's decision) is a problem. Don't let the performance (of the government) be affected by that," said the Vice President as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, October 24.

The vice president also invited and encouraged all government administrators to continue to work optimally to solve people's problems.

"By working, we hope that people will believe that this government is working well and paying attention to the problems that are being faced by the people," he said.

The vice president also asked the local government (Pemda), both governors, regents, and mayors, to increase public trust.

"Then the local government, we all work hard so that our trust does not go down, even go up. We work hard. Everyone works hard," he said.
