COVID-19 Update As Of February 10: New Cases 8.776, Active Cases 168.416

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) releases the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 today. A total of 70.312 specimens were examined today. As a result, there were 8.776 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 1.183.555 people and as many as 168.416 active cases", said data from the Ministry of Health, Wednesday, February 10.

Cases recovered today increased by 9.520 cases so that a total of 982.972 people recovered. Then, 191 positive confirmed cases died and a total of 32.167 people.

The province with the newest cases was in DKI Jakarta with 3.309 cases and a total of 303.715 cases. Followed by Central Java which has 1.220 new cases with a total of 138.546 cases. West Java has 660 new cases and a total of 170.642 cases. Then, East Java has 603 new cases and a total of 119.479 cases.

The province with the most cases recovered today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an increase of 3.245 recovered cases. Followed by Central Java with an increase of 1.316 recovered cases, West Java with an increase of 1.059 recovered cases, and East Java with an increase of 703 recovered cases.

No province reported having zero new cases as of today. The province that reported the fewest new cases was Aceh with 3 cases.

In addition, the number of specimens examined reached 9.862.240. In detail, 9.717.187 specimens were examined using real-time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and 145.053 using a molecular rapid test (TCM).

"The cumulative positive result per number of people examined or a positivity rate of 18.1 percent", he wrote.

For the number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases, it was recorded at 77.526 people. Currently, 510 districts/cities from 34 provinces have cases of COVID-19.

Furthermore, currently, there are 969.546 people who have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 279.251 vaccinated against the second dose. Meanwhile, the total vaccination targets reached 181.554.465 people.
