BI Ex IKON Declared Negative For Drugs

JAKARTA - Hanbin or known as BI, a former member of the iKON group was tested negative for drugs. This announcement was made by Gyeonggi Police after Hanbin carried out a test by sending his hair to a forensic service.

In June 2019, Hanbin left the group iKON due to drug use. This was reported by a relative. At the inaugural trial last September, Hanbin admitted he bought marijuana from a friend in 2016.

Answering several questions raised by the police, BI admitted to consuming marijuana. His status was changed to that of a suspect and he was again investigated seven times after the first trial. Mr. A admitted, YG Entertainment CEO Yang Hyun Suk contacted and asked him to meet. He tried to block the investigation to prevent Hanbin from being arrested.

Hanbin announced his retirement from iKON via his personal Instagram. This action was taken by Hanbin to respect other iKON personnel as well as reflect on himself. On iKON's comeback with the album i DECIDE, Hanbin produced several songs including the title track, Dive.
