CoinMarketCap Introduces ChatGPT Plugin for Crypto Related Questions
JAKARTA - CoinMarketCap, a crypto data aggregator owned by crypto exchange Binance, has created a new plugin for ChatGPT, a large language model (LLM)-based chatbot based on artificial intelligence.
According to an announcement on October 11, users can access this feature by logging into their ChatGPT Plus account and simply activating the plugin, which allows them to ask LLM a variety of crypto-related questions. There are no additional costs to use this plugin, other than the monthly subscription fee of 20 US dollars (IDR 300 thousand) for ChatGPT Plus.
"Basic ChatGPT has limited usefulness for crypto enthusiasts, as data is largely limited to September 2021. ChatGPT's newly expanded web browsing capabilities also have limitations in providing real-time crypto data," wrote the developers as quoted by Cointelegraph.
This LLM is able to produce answers to simple questions such as “How correlated will Bitcoin and Ethereum be in 2023?” to "How do variations in token distribution models (ICO/IDO/launchpad, etc) correlate with observed price volatility?"
Through this integration, instructions generated by ChatGPT are sourced directly from CoinMarketCap, with real-time information such as lists, winners and losers, the latest blockchain statistics, and more. This tool is compatible with both desktop and mobile devices.

Other crypto exchanges are currently testing artificial intelligence (AI) technology amidst the popularity of ChatGPT. In July, Cointelegraph reported that crypto exchange Bitget launched AI-based features for its grid trading strategies, leveraging the use of trading algorithms to automate transactions for users.
In an interview, Gracy Chen, director of management at Bitget, revealed that the exchange uses AI tools to handle the translation of its multi-language services as well as its customer service department.
Simultaneously, the Nasdaq exchange received approval from the United States Securities and Exchange Commission last month for AI-based trading orders. Crypto exchange Binance also launched an AI-based non-fungible token generator for verified users.
