Riding A Batik Motorbike At The Mandalika Circuit, Alex Rins Feels Special And Gets Additional Strength
JAKARTA - LCR Honda racer, Alex Rins has a big chance to appear in the 2023 Mandalika MotoGP even though he is still in the process of recovering from injury. If it was true that he could appear, Rins would get a new sensation because his riding motorbike appeared with the nuances of Lombok batik.
Rins feels this is a special opportunity. For Rins, that moment can also be an additional energy because he feels he is part of the cultural heritage of the Indonesian people.
"Being a part of it (can use batik) gives me additional strength because I feel part of them (Indonesian society). It gives me additional energy and makes me feel special," said Alex Rins at a press conference in Jakarta on Wednesday, October 11.
In the Mandalika MotoGP, the Honda LCR motorbike for Alex Rins will have a special livery decorated with Lombok batik motifs. The color pattern on the motorbike will also be dominated by green which is a characteristic of Castrol.
The moment of appearing on a different RC213V motorbike was part of the Go Indonesia campaign echoed by Castrol. In addition to changing the face of an iron horse, this campaign also features the logo of five workshops that won the 2023 Castrol Super Mechanic Contest on Rins' motorbike livery as a form of support for MSMEs.
Head of the Honda LCR Team, Lucio Cecchinello also felt proud of this. Moreover, there is support for MSMEs in Indonesia through the installation of the names of the five workshops.
"We are proud to be part of the Go Indonesia project in this collaboration. We are happy to be able to support MSMEs as well and the logos of workshops that are winning because they can support the racing industry as well," said Cecchinello.
