Vice President Ma'ruf Amin Visits 3 Provinces In Papua
MAKASSAR - Vice President (Vice President) Ma'ruf Amin left for three provinces in Papua to ensure the acceleration of welfare development for the people in the local area.
The Vice President as Chair of the Steering Committee for the Acceleration of Special Autonomy for Papua (BP3OKP) accompanied by Wury Ma'ruf Amin will visit Papua, Papua Mountains, and South Papua provinces on 9-13 October 2023.
Reported by ANTARA, Monday, October 9, on this visit the Vice President will ensure that the acceleration of Papua's special autonomy development remains committed to protecting human rights, especially for indigenous Papuans.
The vice president focused on the security approach sector and encouraged the national sports grand design program to be implemented by athletes, figures, and the Papuan people.
Using the Presidential Air Force Boeing 737-400 aircraft, the Vice President took off from Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base to Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport Makassar, South Sulawesi.
In Makassar City, the Vice President stopped for a moment to witness the groundbreaking for the construction of the Andi Amran Sulaeman Mosque and the laying of the first stone at Andi Amran International Hospital in Sulaeman.
After that, the Vice President continued his flight to Sentani Jayapura Airport, Papua Province.
The Vice President will focus on activities at the Papua Governor's office with a number of agendas, including receiving hearings from human rights and peace activists, accepting leaders of indigenous Papuan businessmen, and chairing the BP3OKP Coordination Meeting regarding the integration of security and welfare approaches in Papua.
On the following day, Wednesday (11/10), the Vice President will hold a number of agendas at the Papua Bangkit Main Stadium, Jayapura, Papua.
The vice president is scheduled to conduct a review around the stadium, accept sports figures, and attend the submission of a complete systematic land registration certificate (PTSL).
On the fourth day after Jayapura, Papua, the Vice President continued his visit agenda to Wamena Airport, Papua Mountains Province, using a Hercules VIP aircraft, Thursday (12/10).
In this province, the Vice President will attend the laying of the first stone for the facilities and infrastructure of the Papua Province of the Mountains and meet with the ranks of the local provincial government, regents, and community leaders in Papua Mountains.
On the same day, the Vice President continued his flight to Mopah Airport, Merauke, South Papua Province, to sign the inscription on the laying of the first stone for the facilities and infrastructure of the South Papua Provincial Government.
The vice president is scheduled to return and arrive in Jakarta on Friday (13/10).
