Lukas Enembe Is Sick, Trials For Bribery And Gratification Sentences Postponed
The panel of judges handling cases of alleged bribery and gratification with the defendant Lukas Enembe decided to postpone the trial of reading the verdict or verdict which was originally scheduled for today. The reason is that the former governor of Papua is sick so he cannot be present in the courtroom.
"Today's trial should be for reading the verdict against the defendant Lukas Enembe. However, the verdict which was originally scheduled for today cannot be read out because the defendant is in a witness state and is being treated at the hospital," Chief Judge Rianto Adam Pontoh during a trial at the Corruption Court at the Central Jakarta District Court, Monday, October 9.
The defendant Lukas Enembe is known to be undergoing medical treatment at the Gatot Soebroto Army Central Hospital (RSPAD), Jakarta. However, until now his illness has not been known.

That way, the panel of judges will only read out the determination of the public prosecutor's request (JPU). Where, Lukas Enembe was sent to his detention at the Gatot Soebroto Army Hospital, Jakarta.
"Ordered the public prosecutor to the KPK to carry out detention of the defendant Lukas Enembe from October 6 to October 19, 2023 at the RSPAD," he said.
Then, the prosecutor was also ordered to report on the progress of Lukas Enembe's health condition in a case. The goal is to determine the schedule for the next trial.
"Ordered the public prosecutor to the KPK to report the defendant's health development to the panel of judges so that the next trial can be determined," said Chief Judge Rianto.
