Israeli Attack Death Toll In Gaza Increases To 198 People
JAKARTA - The death toll from Israel's ongoing brutal aggression in the Gaza Strip has risen to 198, while another 1,610 have been injured, Palestinian news agency WAFA reported, citing Gaza's Ministry of Health.
KorrespondenWAFA reported by ANTARA, Saturday, October 7, said nine people were declared dead on Saturday evening local time at the Shifa Hospital in Gaza city, five others died at Nasser Hospital in Khan Yunis, and two at Abu Yousef Al Najjar Hospital in Rafah.
Meanwhile, an Israeli missile strike hit a residential building near an Al Sahati refugee camp west of Gaza's city, which killed at least six civilians and damaged buildings and surrounding houses.
The Israeli military launched an attack on the Gaza Strip in retaliation for a series of Palestinian resistance group rocket fire against Israel,Hamas, from the Gaza Strip into Israeli territory on Saturday morning local time.
Israeli rocket attacks have destroyed a site in the western Ansar area of Gaza city, and damaged the surrounding residential buildings.
Israeli warplanes are also targeting medical personnel in Gaza and an ambulance at Nasser Hospital in Khan Yunis. Israeli troops also attacked the Indonesian Hospital in Beit Lahia in northern Gaza.
The attacks claimed lives among civilians and caused a number of people to be in critical condition.

The Israeli military also fired dozens of rockets on agricultural land in Gaza and damaged surrounding houses.
Earlier, rocket salvo attacks were fired from various locations in an area surrounded by Palestinian militant groups in the Gaza Strip on the local Saturday morning. However, Israel's Iron Dome defense system managed to thwart the attack in several areas, Anadolu reported.
The Al Qassam Brigade, armed wing of the Palestinian resistance group Hamas, announced rocket attacks on enemy territory, airports, and military installations had begun.
5,000 rockets and bullets were fired from Gaza towards Israel in the first 20 minutes of operation, the Al Qassam Brigade said in a statement.
Meanwhile, the Israeli military has declared it ready for war and mobilized reserve soldiers on a large scale in response to the attack.
