Gerindra Does Not Want To Be Lulled By The Results Of The Prabowo Survey

JAKARTA - Secretary-General of the Gerindra Party Ahmad Muzani said his party did not want to be complacent with several survey results showing that Prabowo Subianto's presidential candidate would be superior to Anies Baswedan and Ganjar Pranowo.

"(We) must not be complacent, because it is the result of a survey, not the result of the vote," said Ahmad Muzaniusai attending Setia Prabowo's declaration in Jakarta, quoted by ANTARA, Saturday, October 7.

Muzani said the survey results were a portrait of a democratic situation that could change at any time. Therefore, the Gerindra Party and volunteers continue to struggle to convince the people in determining their choice to Prabowo in the 2024 presidential election.

"The volunteers, supporters of the Prabowo coalition party continued to come down, continue to go directly to the people, convince the people from door to door. They (people) hold ballot cards. They are the ones who have the right to determine their future," said Muzani.

Previously, the results of the National Survey Institute (LSN), which was released Friday (6/10), showed that Prabowo's electability reached 40.9 percent; while Ganjar was 33.1 percent and Anies was 22.2 percent.

The survey period for LSN on September 20-30, 2023 in 38 provinces throughout Indonesia was carried out with a sample of 1,420 respondents through a high-grade sampling technique.

Then, the results of the Indonesian Poltracking survey, which was released on Saturday, also showed that Prabowo again outperformed Ganjar head to head with a difference of 6.3 percent in the simulation of the two-round presidential election.

The Poltracking Indonesia survey was conducted in the period 3-9 September 2024 by taking the population of Indonesian citizens (WNI) voters by 1,220 respondents, using the multistage random sampling method, and 2.9 percent margin of error.
