Polda Metro Is Looking For Evidence About The Figure Of The KPK Leader Who Is Suspected Of Extorting SYL

The status of the alleged extortion case led by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) against former Minister of Agriculture (Mentan) Syahrul Yasin Limpo has been upgraded to the investigation stage. Now, Polda Metro Jaya is looking for and collecting evidence to determine the suspect.

"Furthermore, an investigation warrant will be issued to carry out a series of investigative actions according to the manner regulated in the law to find and collect evidence with which the crime occurred and find the suspect," said Director of Special Criminal Investigation of the Metro Jaya Police Kombes Ade Safri Simanjuntak to reporters, Saturday, October 7.

So far, news has circulated that Firli Bahuri is the figure of the KPK leader who has blackmailed him. However, there is no strong evidence to confirm the rumors.

There are only photos showing Firli Bahuri's meeting with SYL at a location like a badminton sports arena (gor). However, it is not clear when the meeting will take place.

The photo is also said to be thoroughly investigated by investigators from the Directorate of Special Crimes at the Polda Metro Jaya.

"This is included in the investigative material that we will explore and we will look for evidence to shed light on the crime that occurred," said Ade.

The study of the photos and meetings is the result of a recommendation from the case title process which was carried out on Friday, October 6.

The investigation was carried out on the basis of alleged violations of Article 65 in conjunction with Article 36 of the KPK Law. Where, investigators are prohibited from dealing with litigants. "There is a prohibition on direct or indirect contact with the suspect or other parties related to the handling of corruption crimes committed by the corruption eradication commission for any reason," said Ade.

Previously reported, Polda Metro Jaya raised the status of the alleged extortion case committed by officials of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) to the investigation stage. The decision was based on the results of the case title.
