Fish Consumption Rate Until October 2023 Capai 56.48 Kg Per Kapita
JAKARTA - Marketing Director of the Directorate of Strengthening Competitiveness for Marine and Fishery Products (PDSKP), Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) Erwin Dwiyana revealed, until October 2023 the fish consumption rate reached 56.48 kilograms per capita.
"Now 56.48 kilograms per capita. This year's target is 60 kilograms per capita," Erwin said as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, October 6.
He said that his party has an innovation and diversification program so that interest in consuming fish and its derivative products increases.
"The first diversification is that the fish cook is troublesome, the smell is sick and some don't like the shape, maybe even because they want to eat quickly," he said.
Diversification of fishery products, he said, is expected to be able to attract a millennial market that wants instant products, ready to serve and ready to cook.
The KKP encourages Indonesians to like to eat as an effort to prevent stunting or tengkes because fish have high protein which is considered capable of helping meet child nutrition. "Food is a food that contains high protein and contains fatty acid content, Omega 3, Omega 6, and Omega 9 is very relevant as a source of nutrition to support stunting prevention and treatment programs," said Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Sakti Wahyu Trenggono.
