Man With Cingrang Pants Angry At The Surabaya Mosque Because Someone Is Playing Tambourine

SURABAYA - The video of the man getting angry inside the mosque has gone viral. The trigger is that this man is not happy that there are pilgrims playing the tambourine.

The incident occurred at the Al Ikhlas Mosque in the Palm Spring area, Jambangan District, Surabaya City, East Java, Monday, October 2 evening.

"Yes, it happened last Monday after Isya. The one who made the video was Mr. Sauki (Al Ikhlas Mosque marbot) himself," said Jambangan Police Chief Kompol Novi Herdhyanto, Thursday, October 5.

The angry man, continued Novi, was not a resident of local housing. The man immediately left the mosque after realizing that his actions were recorded. When the police got there, the man was gone.

To anticipate similar incidents, said Novi, the police together with elements from the three pillars held a meeting at the Club House Palm Spring Building on Wednesday.

"In the meeting it was agreed to guard the mosque, so that no particular group would destroy it," he said.

In the 2 minute 19 second video, a man dressed in a gray robe with black cingkrang pants enters the mosque with an annoyed face. He went straight to several musical instruments, namely the tambourine, which was lying near the place of the priest of prayer.

Several people then approached the man. Then the man called playing music in the mosque an act of munkar.

"There is no argument that allows playing music in the mosque, the argument is yes munkar. Munkar, for God's sake it's munkar," shouted the man.
