Stumbling Over Drugs Again, This Is Ridho Rhoma's Threat Of Punishment

JAKARTA - Muhammad Ridho alias Ridho Rhoma is threatened with a 12-year prison sentence for a drug case that has brought him back.

This refers to the article alleged by the son of the King of Dangdut, Rhoma Irama. Namely suspected by Article 112 paragraph 1 sub Article 127 paragraph 1 of Law Number 35 Year 2009 concerning Narcotics.

"The suspected article 112 paragraph 1 of the Narcotics Law carries a threat of 4-12 years imprisonment," said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Yusri Yunus, Jakarta, Monday, February 8.

It was confirmed whether the sentence against Ridho Rhoma would be longer because this was not the first case. Yusri has not been able to answer this. Because, regarding criminal penalties is not within the authority of his party.

"(The criminal sentence) is ongoing, (because) the authority is in the judiciary," he said.

Previously, Ridho Roma was arrested by the police for drug cases. He was arrested in a South Jakarta apartment on February 4.

"Last February 4, we have indeed secured 1 person MR alias RR in an apartment in the South Jakarta area. After initial public reports," said Yusri.

In the arrest, said Yusri, the police succeeded in securing three ecstasy pills. The evidence was found in the pocket of King Dangdut Rhoma Irama's son.

"MR alias RR is positive for amphetmatim. While the other two people are negative, so we become witnesses," he said.

Previously, Ridho Rhoma was caught in the same case in 2017. Ridho Rhoma is currently arrested for a case of methamphetamine drugs.

Ridho Rhoma was sentenced to 10 months of rehabilitation at RSKO Cibubur and was released in January 2018. However, the Supreme Court's (MA) cassation verdict weighed on Ridho's sentence to 18 months in prison. Ridho also served a prison sentence and was released in January 2020.
