Determining The Effectiveness Of The Existence Of The Anti-Football Mafia Task Force That Has Been Volume 3
JAKARTA - The Police Anti Mafia Ball Task Force volume 3 arrested two fugitives for the match fixing of Bekasi's Persikasi against Perses Sumedang. In fact, this was an incomplete task by the task force in the previous period.
Head of the Anti Mafia Ball Task Force, Brigadier General Hendro Pandowo, said that with the capture of these two fugitives, HN and KH, a total of eight suspects were investigated. Six of them have entered the trial process.
"We have arrested the West Java PSSI HN Asprop suspect and we secure KH, one of the civil servants in Bekasi Regency. So that the arrears in volume 2 have been resolved," Hendro said in Jakarta, Wednesday, February 26.
The two suspects who have just been arrested can be said to be the masterminds or masterminds of the crime. Those who arrange and provide the money to win the Bekasi Persikasi in the match. Thus, the football club will move up from league 3 to league 2.
In fixing the score, they get a wage of Rp. 2 - Rp. 4 million per match. For the suspect KH, he is still being investigated further because there are indications that he is involved in fixing scores in other matches.
Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Yusri Yunus added that KH acts as an intermediary or who gives money to persons in the EXCO (executive committee) of PSSI.
"The results of the deepening he received were around Rp. 60 million, each of his roles," said Yusri.
The Anti Mafia Ball Task Force volume 3 has been working since February. They will work for 6 months. Its members have remained the same since volume 1, led by Hendro Pandowo.
Football observer Eko Maung assesses that the Anti-Football Mafia Task Force does not work effectively. This is because there are relatively few cases disclosed, only one or two cases per period.
"If the police think the score setting is a serious problem, it should just be permanent, to form a special body that deals with sports crime issues," said Eko.
Eko also assessed that in terms of human resources (HR), this task force lacked the ability to see indications of score setting. So, according to him, many scoring actions were not detected by the task force.
He hopes that the human resources in this task force must be seriously trained. If necessary, involve Interpol to uncover a case. Because, according to him, abroad, the handlers of similar crimes have been handled with people who do have expertise.
"So the human resources are specially trained to detect indications. Because the problem of setting this score is not criminal but the experts are different and need to involve skilled people. Because it is difficult to detect, what network, the apparatus must also be specially trained and involve interpol who train it, "said Eko.
Kasatgas Anti Mafia Bola, Brigadier General Hendro Pandowo, had said that the lack of disclosure of scoring arrangements was not because the members were not ready. However, because the perpetrators were afraid of the presence of an invisible task force.
He claims, the case of scoring decreased after the existence of this task force last year. But, he continued, it does not mean that supervision in matches will be reduced, it will be strengthened to reveal everything related to criminal offenses in a football match.
"This means that in volume 2 volume 3 there have been fewer matches found. If there is, I hope that we will not hesitate to take legal action. This means that match fixing has not been found, and they are competing according to sportsmanship, upholding sportsmanship," said Hendro. .
