20 Hectares Of Mount Ciremai National Park Area Burned
The forest and land fires (karhutla) hit the forest area of Mount Ciremai National Park (TNGC), Friday, September 29. The area of the forest that caught fire was in Padapherang Village, Sindangwangi District, Majalengka Regency, West Java. It is suspected that the forest and land fires that occurred in TNGC began with the burning of land carried out by one of the residents. The strong winds quickly caused the fire to spread into the TNGC forest. "Initially we received reports from the burning of the residents' land, but it spread to TNGC," said Pusdalops PB Majalengka Abdul Rohim. Rohim said, it was wide while the forest burned in TNGC reached 20 hectares. "The total while 20 hectares of forest burned in TNGC, we are still trying to extinguish it," he said. The success of the road is difficult, the cause of the slow extinguishing of the fire that burned TNGC.
