The Issue Of Gibran Being Prabowo's Vice Presidential Candidate, PDIP Beware Of Political Fighting
Secretary General of the PDI-P (PDIP) Hasto Kristiyanto suspects that someone wants to pit their party against the family of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi). This style is considered like politics in the past.
This was conveyed by Hasto in response to the issue of the eldest son of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), Gibran Rakabuming Raka who is also the Mayor of Koya Solo paired as a candidate for vice president (cawapres) Prabowo Subianto in the 2024 Presidential Election (Pilpres).
"If there are issues, there are scenarios from other parties who are trying to put divide et impera politics, that's the politics of the past colonial era," Hasto told reporters at JiExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta, quoted Friday, September 29.
Hasto ensured that the relationship between PDIP and Gibran was good. He also praised the president's son as one of the disciplined cadres attending party events.
Moreover, the party bearing the bull symbol does not want to be bothered by the recent issues. Hasto said, PDIP is used to responding to issues like this, especially the presidential election (pilpres).

"There are many issues, the origin of that is because yes this is a contestation, we are used to being faced with various issues," he said.
"But we also often have dialogue with him. He by Pak Djarot in the party schools is always present with full discipline," added Hasto.
Furthermore, Hasto hopes that this kind of issue will not continue to develop. He reminded that today's politics should no longer use divided ways but prioritize collaboration and mutual cooperation.
"So the election contestation is okay. But place the people as the winner of the highest sovereignty," he said.
For information, the figure of Gibran Rakabuming Raka is rumored to be paired with Prabowo Subianto in the 2024 presidential election. This issue is getting stronger in line with the existence of a judicial review lawsuit related to the age limit of the presidential and vice presidential candidates to the Constitutional Court.
