Two Days Lost In Waters Of Island Three, Speedboat Filled With Vegetables And Two Passengers Found
JAKARTA - Timika SAR team, Mimika Regency, Central Papua Province, managed to find a speedboad that had lost contact since Tuesday, September 26, to Asmat.
Head of the Timika SAR Office, George LM Randang, said that after receiving the report on the speedboad's disappearance, his party immediately dispatched a team.
"The joint team consists of Asmat SAR personnel, the Indonesian Navy, and Airud Police using RIB 85 PK and the victim's family using a speedboat of 40 PK," he said.
According to George, after the joint team conducted a search, on Thursday, September 28, at 12.30 WIT, the team managed to find a speedboat loaded with vegetables that Ardi and Hendra were riding.
"The team managed to find the two victims of a speedboad passenger around the waters of Pulau Tiga, Mimika Regency in a safe condition," he said.

He explained that the speedboat was leaking so a response had to be carried out.
"The boats were leaking, so they took shelter in Batawa Village to do a patch so that the speedboat could be reused," he said.
He added that after patching the hull of the leaking boat, the speedboat resumed its journey and met the joint SAR team around the waters of Island Tiga.
"With the arrival of a joint SAR team with a speedboat loaded with vegetables in Asmat, the operation is proposed to be closed and the potential for SAR to be returned to their respective units," he said.
