Prabowo: We Want To See Honorable, Adequate Life, No Less Than Other Nations
Minister of Defense Prabowo Subianto asked students and the younger generation to be able to take the demographic bonus opportunity from 2030 to 2040, to make Indonesia a developed country. In a public lecture at the University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) in Malang Regency, East Java, Prabowo said that with such a demographic bonus, it is an opportunity for Indonesia to step up to become a developed country. "We are on the verge of revival towards a developed country. There is a demographic bonus opportunity, let students together become a nation that can take advantage of this opportunity," Prabowo said as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, September 27. Prabowo explained, a demographic bonus is an opportunity that does not come many times in any country. Therefore, young Indonesians must be able to take advantage of the opportunity for such a demographic bonus for the progress of the nation. According to him, if a country is able to take the opportunity for a demographic bonus optimally, then the country will be able to advance into a developed country. However, if the state cannot take advantage of it, then only the way is in place. "There is a country that takes this opportunity and progresses, there is a country that is unable to take this opportunity. Don't want to be a country that is not developed," he said. By becoming a developed country, Indonesia is expected to be able to become a producing country of various goods of the domestic community, including the world community. "We want to be a developed country. We want to be a producing country, not just using. Countries that can produce, not just consumption. This is what we aspire to. This is what we aspire to," he added. With the condition of Indonesia status being a developed country, he continued, then the need for food, clothing and community boards can be fulfilled. The nutritional needs of Indonesian children can also be met. "We want to see living honorably or living adequate life. Food, board and ade-fit. Living by seeing our children are cheerful, healthy, quite nutrition is not inferior to other nations," he said.
