Menpora Dito Accompanied President Jokowi Opens The 2023 GAMKI National Working Meeting In Medan

The Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Indonesia (Menpora RI) Dito Ariotedjo accompanied President Joko Widodo to open a national working meeting (Rakernas) for the 2023 Christian Youth Movement (GAMKI) at Benteng Field, Medan, North Sumatra (North Sumatra), Saturday 19 August.

President Jokowi in his speech conveyed that Indonesia was included in the top five developed countries. Even though it has changed leadership, President Jokowi wants Indonesia to continue to jump forward.

"We can be included in the top five strongest economies in the world. It can enter, but the challenges are not easy. Future leaders are very decisive. This country can jump forward or not," said the President.

Furthermore, the President explained that the upcoming 2024 election would determine Indonesia's fate. In fact, the President said, the determination of the developed country was determined in three elections.

"National leadership in 2024, national leadership in 2029, national leadership in 2034, it is very decisive that this country is caught in the trap of an in-medium-income country or middle-income trade, or it can become a developed country," he explained.

"Leaders in 2024, 2029, and 2034 are very decisive. I have conveyed it dozens of times and I remind you," he continued.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the GAMKI DPP, Sahat MP Sinurat, expressed his gratitude for the presence of the President in opening their National Working Meeting. He also praised President Jokowi's leadership in terms of infrastructure development.

"President Jokowi builds infrastructure in every region, not only Java. There are many access roads, electricity, the internet that are not yet available, now there are," he said.

Sahat explained that Indonesia's vision and mission for Indonesia's gold 2045 is the dream of the nation. Therefore, he said GAMKI did not want to just remain silent. GAMKI said he wanted to contribute.

"We GAMKI don't want to be spectators, we want and have to play a role in achieving the vision and mission. Youth must be historical actors. Therefore, GAMKI certainly continues to prepare professional cadres," he concluded.
