Receive PB Persani, Menpora Dito Gives Alternative Training Places Temporary For Gimnastic Athletes

JAKARTA - The Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Indonesia (Menpora RI) Dito Ariotedjo received the Executive Board of the Indonesian Gymnastics Association (PB Persani) at Graha Kemenpora, Monday 7 August. During the visit, Menpora Dito received PB Persani's delivery regarding the venue for training centers for game athletes.

The PB Persani delegation led by the general chairman of Ita Yuliati told Menpora Dito about the results of the Kemenpora Sports School (SKO) test. It is known, there are several young Gymnastic athletes who have passed the test.

However, PB Persani has not dared to socialize it to the coaches and parents. The reason is that PB Persani is not sure and does not yet know how the continuation of this program currently has no place for training.

Responding to Persani's question, Menpora Dito revealed that currently a gamenastic hall training center is being built in the Cibubur area. However, the construction is estimated to be completed in the next two years.

"If we wait for Cibubur, it will take a long time, because it is still two years. So we can make two options for a temporary training ground," said Menpora Dito.

The option is the first, namely PB Persani applying for the location or equipment needed at least to practice. Second option, apply for the location and equipment needed ideally for training.

"Please come from PB Persani immediately submit. For training centers, God willing, we can help," said Menpora Dito.

Chairman of PB Persani Ita Yuliati explained, for the time being the alternative given to PB Persani could be in collaboration with Ragunan, which is currently being used for the Student Sports Training Center (PPOP) or Pengprov which can provide its place. Outside of these two alternatives, his party also plans to cooperate with the private sector.

"For example, there are private people who can lend their hall. There are many game clubs here. Maybe they can lend it to us as long as the time and program are clear," he explained.

Ita mengatakan dalam seleksi SKO terdapat 12 atlet gimnastik yang mengikuti seleksi. Empat atlet gimnastik lolos tim independen, keputusan 7 atlet yang lolos akhir.

"Because apparently the test is also quite long. They were tested psychologically, tested for ability, and the last one was physically tested," said the General Chairperson of PB Persani.
