Present At The Road To IdeaFest 2023 Event, Menpora Dito Supports Youth Creative Industry Development
JAKARTA - The Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Indonesia (Menpora RI) Dito Ariotedjo, became a resource person at a discussion themed Designing The Future: Skill Sets and Roles in Next Generation of Creative Jobs at the Djakarta Theater Ballroom, Jl. MH Thamrin, Jakarta, Thursday night, August 31.
In the context of the 12th Road To Idea Fest in 2023 from September 29 to October 1, 2023, Menpora Dito said that the Ministry of Youth and Sports is currently the leading sector in terms of youth services, including youth creativity development.
"The Ministry of Youth and Sports is currently the lead integrator or the chief executive of the youth sector service. So, we coordinate under 27 ministries/agencies and the Ministry of Youth and Sports to become the chairman or leader," said Menpora Dito.
"Currently, the creative industry is one of the concerns of the Ministry of Youth and Sports. Because we can see that this creative industry is very relevant to young people throughout Indonesia and the Ministry of Youth and Sports has a responsibility for the youth itself," added Menpora Dito.
In carrying out the function of the chairman as a Lead Integrator of Youth, Kemenpora does not only run alone but cooperates with other relevant ministries/agencies.
"We are also collaborating and synchronizing this entire program so that how these young people can develop creative industries whose development is evenly distributed in all regions in Indonesia," he said.
The Ministry of Youth and Sports is also very encouraging the development of skills for young people and students to become successful young entrepreneurs who can help run the economy.
"We at the Ministry of Youth and Sports have a program called young entrepreneurs. Where we are going roadshows to all universities throughout Indonesia by cooperating with experts, MSME actors whom we have scored success and also large corporates that they directly connect to students for training and incubation," explained Menpora Dito.
"The Ministry of Youth and Sports also has many youth programs, one of which is the Youth Creativeness Week entitled Creativesia. This activity is where we gather all communities throughout Indonesia from 17 creative sub-sectors curated by Dispora in all provinces in Indonesia," he explained.
This creative festival was held to support the growth and development of the creative industry in the country. Through various innovative and collaborative programs, IdeaFest 2023 raised the theme 'Lead the Leap!' by presenting more than 200 speakers.
"The theorem raised is expected to inspire and motivate activists in the creative industry in the face of rapid and complex changes. IdeaFest 2023 will provide skills and mindset briefing for the younger generation, especially in facing various challenges and winning opportunities," said Co-Chairman IdeaFest 2023 Desy Bachir.
"This creative festival also has a mission to revive and build skilled leaders in innovation, make decisions that have an impact, and create positive changes. This year, IdeaFest focuses on empowering players and leaders in the creative industry to take a bold leap towards success," he added.
