Menpora Dito Invites AMK Cadres To Participate In Increasing Youth Development Index For Leadership
JAKARTA - The Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Indonesia (Menpora RI) Dito Ariotedjo invited cadres of the Kabah Youth Force (AMK) throughout Indonesia to participate in improving the Youth Development Index (IPP) in the youth leadership domain.
This was conveyed by Menpora Dito when giving a speech at the National Working Meeting (Rakernas) I of the 2023 Kaaba Youth Force (AMK) at the Grand Sahid Hotel, Central Jakarta, Saturday, August 5 afternoon.
"The achievement of the IPP Index, especially in youth participation and leadership domains in 2022, will decrease at 43.33%. This domain value is lower than in 2018 of 48.47 percent," he said.
"So we want to invite AMK together with the Ministry of Youth and Sports with youth leadership activities, let's increase the IPP. AMK regeneration can be a significant leverage in increasing the IPP figure which has decreased in increasing youth participation in the social and political realm," he added.
According to him, Indonesia's current demographics are dominated by young people aged 17-39 years around 60 percent of the total voters in the 2024 General Election. "So AMK as an organization needs to formulate a strategy to foster political awareness of youth," he explained.
At the end of Menpora Dito's remarks, he hoped that AMK could collaborate with the Ministry of Youth and Sports, because the main tasks of the Ministry of Youth and Sports encouraged and also fostered young choices.
"So we have a main task force related to 2024, which is to ensure that these young voters come to the TPS. And we are working with the KPU and Bawaslu in order to create a program that aims to make our young people want to attend the TPS," he said.
