Head Of Pematangsiantar Narcotics Displaced Due To Viral Video Of Dugem, North Sumatra Police Chief Appoints His Replacement

MEDAN - North Sumatra Police Chief Inspector General Martuani Sormin appointed AKP Kristo Tamba to be the Head of Narcotics at the Pematangsiantar Police. AKP Kristo was appointed after the removal of AKP David Sinaga after his video clubbing went viral on social media.

Head of Public Relations of the North Sumatra Regional Police, Kombes Pol Hadi Wahyudi, in Medan, on Sunday, said that the rotation of the position was stated in the North Sumatra Police Chief's Telegram letter number ST / 73 / II / KEP dated February 5. Meanwhile, AKP David Sinaga was transferred as Pama Yanma Polda North Sumatra.

"The mutation process is in the context of examining AKP David Sinaga after the video clubbing went viral at a nightclub in Pematangsiantar City," he said as quoted by Antara, Sunday, February 7.

Kristo Tamba previously served as Panit 2 Unit 2 Sub Directorate 1 of the North Sumatra Regional Police of the Narcotics Agency. The position left by Kristo Tamba will be filled by AKP Jerico Lavian Chandra.

Kapolda emphasized that Sinaga's AKP is currently still undergoing an examination by the North Sumatra Police Propam Division regarding his viral clubbing video on social media.

Previously, the Head of Public Relations of the North Sumatra Regional Police, Kombes Hadi Wahyudi, said the chronology of the viral video. The video was taken in October 2020 at Karaoke Studio 21 Kota Pematangsiantar.

At that time, the Pematangsiantar Police Head of Narcotics entered Studio 21 for an investigation. There he was met by a karaoke owner on behalf of Acong and 2 colleagues.

"After that, Kasat Drugs headed to the reception room. There, without realizing it, Kasat Drugs, concerned was recorded or videotaped by the owner. That was the beginning," he explained.

Kombes Hadi said that on January 4, 2021, the Narcotics Agency and his team arrested a drug dealer at Studio 21.

"On the way (process) Acong asked for help from Kasat Narcotics to be released. But with Kasat Narkoba's commitment, the narcotics offender was not released, the process will continue," he said.

"Yesterday a video appeared on the Facebook and Youtube accounts where after being investigated, the video was faked. Where in the 1.15 second video, it shows that drugs are visible at the reception," continued Kombes Hadi.

But the Pematangsiantar Police Narcotics Unit has been deactivated. This is done to facilitate the investigation process.
