Update On COVID-19 As Of February 7: 10.827 New Cases, DKI Jakarta Still Has Most Cases

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) releases the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 today. A total of 41.526 specimens were examined today. As a result, there were 10.827 new positive cases of COVID-19.

The province with the most cases recovered today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an increase of 4.305 recovered cases. Followed by West Java with an increase of 2.100 recovered cases, East Java with an increase of 775 recovered cases, and South Sulawesi with an increase of 532 recovered cases.

There is one province that reported no new cases as of today. The province that reported zero new cases was West Nusa Tenggara.

In addition, the number of specimens examined reached 9.685,379. In detail, a total of 9.541.863 specimens were examined using real-time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and 143.516 using molecular rapid tests (TCM).

"The cumulative positive result per number of people examined or a positivity rate of 18 percent", he wrote.

For the number of people suspected of having contracted COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases, it was recorded at 76.029 people. Currently, 510 districts/cities from 34 provinces have cases of COVID-19.

Furthermore, currently, there are 784.318 people who have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 139.131 the second dose of vaccination. Meanwhile, the total vaccination targets reached 181.554.465 people.
