Today, Commission III Of The House Of Representatives Holds Fit And Proper Test 8 Candidates For Constitutional Court Judges

JAKARTA - Commission III of the DPR will hold a fit and proper test on 8 candidates for judges of the Constitutional Court (MK) to replace Wahiduddin Adams today, Monday, September 25.

The feasibility test will be carried out for two days until tomorrow Tuesday, September 26.

The eight names of prospective judges for the Constitutional Court who will undergo a fit test at Commission III of the DPR are Reny Halida Ilham Malik, Firdaus Dewilmar, Elita Rahmi, Aidul Fitriciada Azhari, Putu Gede Arya, Abdul Latif, Haridi Hasan, and Arsul Sani.

Member of Commission III of the Indonesian House of Representatives Andi Rio Idris Padjalangi, said that the two important points that became the reference in the fit and proper test were transparency and objectivity.

"We have received the results of the prospective judges, and of course we will study and carry out tests one by one. Later it will be seen which ones have the professionalism and attitude of statesmen," said Andi Rio, Sunday, September 24.

Andi said the 2024 election dispute would be the biggest challenge for prospective Constitutional Court judges who would take part in the fit and proper test for this period.

"There will be a lot of dispute over the 2024 election going to the Constitutional Court," he said.

Therefore, Andi emphasized, Commission III will be careful in testing the prospective judges. Because according to him, the position of constitutional judge is very influential and becomes God's representative in deciding the truth and justice.

"Of course the elected judge will carry out a big task. And Commission III is very careful to determine which are the best of the eight candidates for judges," he said.

Andi also reminded that no more judges from the Constitutional Court should again fall into legal problems such as during the time of the Constitutional Court Judge Akil Mochtar. Once again, he said, the judge was God's representative.

"We want the elected Constitutional Court Judge to truly become the real representative of God," he said.
