BRI Records Fee-Based Income Double Digit Growth
JAKARTA PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk. (BRI) stated that the company was able to record impressive fee-based income growth supported by the strengthening of digital transformation.
BRI President Director Sunarso said that the digital transformation strategy also had a positive impact in terms of efficiency.
Fee-based income consolidated BRI recorded a growth of 9.14 percent year on year (yoy) to Rp10.22 trillion until the end of June 2023, so that the portion of fees-based income to BRI's income reached double digits," he said in a written statement, Friday, September 22.
According to Sunarso, the company in the last five years has begun to shift a number of its business processes from conventional banking to digital. He said, over time the quality of BRI's digital services to the public has consistently increased, and the number of service connoisseurs has increased.

"One of the uses of digital services that has proven to be in demand by the wider community segment, namely Super Apps BRImo," he said.
Sunarso noted, until the end of June 2023 this application had been used by 27.8 million users with transactions of IDR 1,896 trillion.
"So the source of BRI's first fee base income comes from the transaction fee, especially from our mobile banking. The second is related to credit administration," he said.
