Jokowi's Visit To IKN: The Construction Of The Presidential Palace Has Been 38 Percent

Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Sri Mulyani is said to have accompanied President Joko Widodo in a review of the progress of the construction and installation of Garuda's first blades at the Presidential Office, the capital city of Nusantara (IKN), North Penajam Paser Regency, East Kalimantan Province, today.

In the Ministry of Finance's broadcast, it was revealed that the President headed for the upper floor area of the building which would be used as the presidential office at around 07.55 WITA. The President then symbolically installed the first Garuda module which would become the icon of the presidential office building.

In his statement after the review, the President said that the progress of the presidential office construction was quite good and had reached 38 percent. In addition, the President also said that the construction of a number of infrastructures in IKN was still in accordance with the planning.

Everything is still in line with the plan, I think buildings such as the president's office, the presidential palace, the ministry, are still on target. According to all plans," said the Head of State, Friday, September 22.

On the same occasion, the Director General of Human Settlements at the Ministry of PUPR, Diana Kusumastuti, said that until September 2023, the progress of the construction of the presidential office had reached 38 percent. Currently, the presidential office has started the stage of installing Garuda blades.

"The progress of the presidential office in the capital city of Nusantara this September is 38 percent, and 38 percent of this we have started installing the blades," said Diana.

Furthermore, Diana targets the installation of the Garuda blades with a total number of 4,650 blades to be completed by March 2024.

"Hopefully we will finish in March, because we have 465 modules where there are 10 modules so that we have 4,650 blades that will be installed starting today," he explained.

After completion, Garuda, which will become the icon of the building, will have a 177-meter-long wing with a height of 77 meters.

"The wings from end to end are 177 meters long, from the arch it is about 239 meters, and the height is 77 meters," he said.

Also accompanying the President, namely the Minister of Finance, Minister of Public Works and Public Housing Basuki Hadimuljono, Minister of State Secretary Pratikno, Minister of Investment/Head of the Investment Coordinating Board Bahlil Lahadalia, Head of the IKN Authority Bambang Susantono, Deputy Head of the IKN Authority Donny Rahajoe, and East Kalimantan Governor Isran Noor.
