Floods Send From Malaysia Soak Dozens Of Houses On The Nunukan Border
The high rainfall in neighboring Malaysia has flooded several border areas in Nunukan Regency, North Kalimantan (Kaltara).
The Head of Sub-Division for the rehabilitation and reconstruction of the Nunukan BPBD, Mulyadi, said that the areas affected by the flood were Lumbis Pansiangan, Lumbis Ogong, Lumbis, Sembakung Atulai and Sembakung sub-districts.
The flood occurred because the water discharge from Malaysia was so large that it resulted in flooding that submerged residential areas in Lumbis Pansiangan, Lumbis Ogong, Lumbis, Sembakung Atulai and Sembakung sub-districts.
"Several houses in Lumbis Pansiangan District that were affected by the flood were sent including Tambalang Hulu Village," he said, Thursday, September 21.
Then,langgason Village, Tantalukuk Village, Bokok Village and Panas Village.
There are 44 families/189 people affected by flooding in 11 villages with houses submerged as many as 35 houses.
"The Nunukan Regency Government through BPBD has handled the affected residents since Wednesday (20/9) Until today the floods are still in the minds of several areas," he said.
